Sullivan School Sale
County Commissioners are concerned that they may need to start the process of selling the old Cedar Grove Elementary School building over. Two churches in the area have entered bids to buy the property, but there is speculation that one church either has or will withdraw their bid. One church wants to house a non-profit organization on the property; the other is proposing a joint venture from area churches for a community center. The Commissioners say they arenít even sure that either entity has the means to sustain and maintain the property if they are able to purchase it. A move is expected in the form of a motion to reject current offers and start over so that more community input can be gained before a decision is made. (CC)
