DUI Checkpoint
Those drinking or driving under the influence should prepare to be stopped by police if they are in Kingsport this weekend. Kingsport police plan to set up sobriety checkpoints on Saturday night. Dale Farmer is with the traffic division… “We periodically conduct DUI sobriety checkpoints in order to remove impaired drivers. We do the checkpoints in various locations throughout the city throughout the year.” The police say doing checks like these help to reduce impaired driving and traffic crashes that involve drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
