Carriger Versus Hill?
State Representative Matthew Hill could have someone nipping at his heels to take over his post in the state legislature. Former Johnson City Mayor Phil Carriger is considering a run against the incumbent in the republican primary. Carriger is at the planning stages to see if running for the seat is a viable option. Carriger is a financial consultant that serves on the board of directors for Bank of Tennessee. The Republican Party has not called for the primary but it will be on May 7th with the elections on August 7th. Hill serves the 7th district in Tennessee. (CC)
