Narcotics Arrest
A Johnson City man is in police custody after a traffic stop led the discovery of weapons and narcotics. U.S. Attorney’s officers have placed a federal detainer on Montavius Gholston. Police found 17 grams of crack cocaine during the traffic stop, which led them to further investigate Gholston. They later found an additional 98-grams of crack, 6-grams of MDMA, and over 33-hundred dollars. He is charged with maintaining a dwelling where drugs are sold, possession of schedule one and two drugs, and possessing a firearm in the commission of a felony. Gholston is currently held in the county detention center under a 41-thousand dollar bond. (CC)
