UPDATE: Pedestrian Dies After Hit and Run
A man has died after being struck by a car in Elizabethton on Thursday night. Police were called to Elizabethton Highway near Happy Valley Memorial Park at around ten, where they found Christopher Dale Hughes injured after being hit by a car. Police say Hughes was on the side of the road after having car trouble when another car hit him then drove away. The investigation is ongoing and police say they have identified the driver and the vehicle involved and charges are pending. (JH)
