Unicoi Liquor Store
Unicoi has now opened its first liquor store. This is the first endevour into the adult beverage industry for the owner. He works in real estate. He said he jumped into this business to provide a service to the town of Unicoi after a November vote showed 55-percent of residents were in favor of opening a store in the town. Residents were in favor of a store in the area so that would not have to go to other nearby towns to purchase alcohol, something that could save them money in the long run. The store is successful so far, outpacing what the owners predicted in their business plans. (CC)
