UPDATE: JC Corvette Accident
The driver of a Corvette swerved to miss a dog, went over the sidewalk and crashed into the backyard of a home on North Broadway Street. Police say 43-year old Albert K. Ballard recently bought the 2002 Corvette and was not used to driving a manual transmission. When he tried to hit the brakes, he pushed the gas instead. The crash destroyed the car and damaged a utility pole. No one was injured in the incident. Police have charged Ballard was for failure to maintain control and unlawful removal of registration decal or plate.
