Woman Arrested For False Claim
She recanted her statement to police while on the witness stand, now sheís been arrested for filing a false police report. 19-year-old Tabitha Eaton first told police she witnessed her boyfriend sexually abuse a 3-year-old girl. During a preliminary hearing in court on Thursday Eaton told the court that she lied about her claim on September 5th that she had witnessed her boyfriend abuse the child. This led to the charges being dismissed against Holden Marshall Ledford, since Eatonís testimony was a huge portion of the prosecutionís case. Ledford was released from custody and Eaton was arrested as she left the witness stand. She told police she changed her story because she didnít want Ledford to go to jail. She has been arraigned and released on a 5-thousand dollar recognizance bond. (CC)
