Assault Arrest
A Rogersville man has been arrested and charged with assault after he attacked his girlfriend during a domestic altercation. Rhonda Dorton told police she asked 50-year-old Charles Boyd Blair to remove a couch from the home because it reminded her of her recently deceased daughter. Thatís when she said Blair became enraged and beat the woman across the chest with a trim, and pulled her hair out of her head. He told the woman he was tired of hearing her talk about her 25-year-old daughter that died last week after a long illness. Blair was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the assault. He was charged with domestic assault and is held on a 25-thousand dollar bond. He has two previous arrests for domestic assault. (CC)
