Movie Coming To Wise County
A best-selling author that writes fiction set in Wise County, Virginia has sold a screenplay based on one of those novels, and it is set to film in Wise County. Adriana Trigianiís novel Big Stone Gap is set in the town where she lived her early years. Governor Bob McDonnell announced yesterday that the project was a go-ahead and would be filmed in the area where the book is set. Trigiani says the film project has been in the works for some time. The news of filming could mean good things for Wise County. It makes them eligible for a 300-thousand dollar grant from Virginiaís Tobacco Commission and 600-thousand in incentives based on the amount the production company spends in Virginia.
