Man Strangles Girlfriend
Johnson City police have arrested a man accused of assaulting his girlfriend, wrecking his car, and fleeing the scene. Jimmy Moffitt is also facing charges of driving on a revoked license, reckless driving, assault, and leaving an accident scene. The incident happened September 4th, when Moffitt got into an argument with his girlfriend. He then strangled her with the necklace she was wearing. Moffitt lost control of the car in the incident and then left the scene of the wreck. He is currently held on a 10-thousand dollar bond with an appearance in court scheduled for Tuesday. (CC)
