Sullivan County Insurance
Sullivan County is making moves toward a self-funded insurance policy. The Insurance Committee hired MCA as an adminstrator for the county’s health insurance claims. Under this plan instead of an insurance company, the county will pay claims directly. The plan is in line with costs they had been paying at 6.5-million dollars. The administrator for MCA placed a maximum liability since the county has three health-care claims that caused reason for concern from the group. The agreement now goes to the standing committees for adoption (CC)
