Marijuana Arrest
A tip to Carter County police led to the arrest of 21-year-old Nicholas Ethan Britt for having a marijuana grow operation. They responded to the home at 164 Carver Road where Britt answered the door. Officers asked if any narcotics were in the home. Britt at first denied having narcotics, and refused a request to search his home. Police looked through a window and located materials commonly used in grow operations and smelled the odor of marijuana, and asked Britt a second time if drugs were present. That is when he admitted it then led them inside where police found 45 plants and a bottle of seeds. Britt will appear in court on October 7th. (CC)
