Man Pulls Gun On Teen
Gate City police say they believe a man was under the influence of drugs when he pulled a gun on a high school senior in a parking lot last week. 46-year-old Jimmie Lee Akers was in an SUV with his wife and child. Darris Salyer went to the parking lot and pulled into a space. That is when Akers entered Salyer's car and attempted to restrain him. Salyer managed to escape unharmed. Akers is charged and was booked into the Southwest Virgiia Regional Jail in Duffield. (CC)
