Duehring Fills Vacated Seat
The Abingdon Town Council voted on Monday to have Jayne Duehring fill the seat recently vacated by Jason Berry. Duehring was one of nine people who applied to fill the spot, and was sworn in after a unanimous vote my council members. Duehring’s appointed term will end July First 2014, but could run for the seat during the elections held in May. The council has not had to appoint a person to fill a seat for sixteen years. (CC)
