Robberies Connected
Johnson City police say that two armed robberies happening a short time apart on Monday are likely connected. A student as ETSU reported that five people were in a car that robbed them and fled on University Parkway. A second robbery took place a short time later on Plymouth Road near South Roan Street, the victim in that case gave a similar description of the five suspects and the car they were driving. Both victims were walking alone in the dark in the early morning hours. Police say to always stay alert, especially if you are alone, but that using a buddy system is best. (CC)
