House Fire Suspicious
Authorities say they are treating a house fire that occurred in Piney Flats on Thursday morning as suspicious. The call came in around 5:45 in the morning and both Piney Flats and Bluff City Volunteer Fire departments responded to the blaze. They are continuing to investigate the fire, but some evidence found by firefighters led them to believe the fire did not start on its own. The house was a rental property and the residents were in the process of moving out of the home. No charges have been filed. (CC)
