Mayor Wants Cuccinelli To Return Money
The Mayor of Glade Spring is speaking out on campaign contributions received by Republican Gubenatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli , saying he should return the money to the energy companies. Mayor Lee Coburn says in light of a state investigation that showed the State Attorney Generalís office gave advice to those energy companies who were in a suit filed by Virginia residents of gas royalties. That company CONSOL energy has donated over 100-thousand dollars to Cuccinelliís campaign. The Cuccinelli campaign did fight back, saying the investigation into actions at his office shows supervisors were not informed of the actions taking place. They say Cuccinelli has done nothing wrong by taking the money. . (CC)
