Development Could Be Close for Downtown JC Building
Five years after buying the property, the Johnson City Chamber Commission is hopeful about the future of the former General Mills building downtown. A potential developer wants the city’s planning commission to consider a request for residential space on the first floor of the building. Although potential development is in the works, no deals to sell the property have been signed. The planning commission is expected to discuss the rezoning request next month.
