Remaining Facebook Murder to be Tried Together
Itís been a little over two weeks since Marvin Potter was found guilty of first degree murder. Today, his wife, daughter and alleged partner in crime found out they will be tried together. Barbara and Jenelle Potter and Jamie Lynn Curd will stand trial together on May 12th in Washington County, TN for their part in the 2012 killing of Billy Payne, Jr. and Billie Jean Hayworth. Prosecutors say Jamie Curd helped Marvin Potter kill the Mountain City couple after they de-friended Jenelle Potter on Facebook. During his trial, prosecutors played tapes of Potter confessing to the crime to his wife, Barbara. Marvin Potter was convicted of two counts of first degree murder and sentenced to two life terms in prison.
