Mount Carmel Sued a Year After Officer Involved Accident
A Mount Carmel officer responding to a home invasion call rear-ended a couple right before the Church Hill city limits. The accident happened a year ago, but now the husband and wife are suing the town of Mount Carmel. Helen and Claude Lawson were driving their 1995 Toyota on Highway 11W last November when they were hit by Officer Bobby Moffitt. They’re asking the city for $150,000 for damage compensation.
