Driver in Accident Charged
Authorities have charged a man who caused an accident that tied up traffic on interstate 81 Friday evening. 48-year old Brian Smith of Dandridge ran into the back of a tractor trailer. Smith and a passenger in the front seat of his SUV were injured when the vehicle became stuck to the tractor trailer after it struck it. Both had to be hospitalized. Police say Smith was driving under the influence. (SH)
