Potential Freedom Hall Facelift
A city building could be getting a renovation, and ETSU a new facility to play basketball. Johnson City officials are in talks with Freedom Hall Civic Center to move basketball games there. The Bucs played a few games there this season and fan response was very positive. It could also mean collaboration between the two venues for offering larger productions that can't be housed at Freedom Hall due to space issues. While it's only talk now, if it becomes a reality ETSU would assist with the costs of the Freedom Hall renovation. There is no word yet on how those renovations would be funded.
