Man Faces More Charges After Jailer Attack
He is awaiting trial on murder charges and now he is in trouble again. Israel Goudy would not come out of his cell for meal time and began shouting profanity at a jailer, so he was handcuffed. Then he head-butted the officer saying he was already charged with murder and another count wouldn’t be an issue. Goudy is accused of shooting Larry Whittaker in Carter County in 2011 then stabbing himself so he wouldn’t be suspected. The jailer suffered minor injuries. Goudy will be in court on January 13th for the jail attack and again on February 12th for a hearing for the 2nd degree murder charge. (JH)
