More Information Released in Carter Co. Shooting
Three people were in a Carter County home, now one is dead and the suspect in the shooting had to be taken to a hospital for chest pains. We now know more about the Thursday evening incident. 26-year old Timothy Gary Cook was at home with his girlfriend, 34-year old Jessica Pack and her father, 64-year old Phillip Lee Green. Authorities say an argument between the daughter and boyfriend led up to the shooting. Pack claims Cook hit her and her father was trying to protect her and himself when he shot Cook in the chest. Officers found a loaded gun, believed to be Cook’s, near the victim’s body. Green was taken to the hospital after the shooting suffering from chest pains. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
