Armed Flyer Pleads Guilty
The Kingsport man who tried to board an airplane with a loaded 9mm pistol at Tri Cities Regional Airport has pleaded guilty. It was a misdemeanor offense, punishable by a fine of $500. 40 year old Christopher Osborne paid that plus court costs after his guilty plea. During his arrest at the airport security check, Osborne told authorities he made the same mistake five years ago. He said he flies a lot and it was just an honest mistake. The pistol was loaded with nine live rounds. (LM)
