"Wine Bill" Moves Forward
Allowing wine sales in grocery stores and convenience stores is making strides again in the Tennessee legislature. A measure that would let voters decide whether their cities or counties will allow it passed in the House Budget Subcommittee. The proposal would allow cities and counties to vote as early as November, but wouldn't allow stores to stock wine until July 2016.The measure is similar to a version that passed the Senate last week.
