Student Charged After Pointing a Gun on His Bus
No one was hurt but a 17 year old student at Sullivan North High School is charged with carrying a weapon on school property, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Authorities reveal that he brought a handgun on his bus last Friday, pointed it at the bus driver and two others, although the bus driver was unaware. Authorities say the student hid the gun in a storage container on the bus and then got it later on his ride home. The Sullivan North resource officer found out about it several days later, leading to the arrest of the student. He is in juvenile detention pending a hearing.
