Walgreens Robber Caught
Bristol Tennessee police arrested a man they say robbed a pharmacy and fled. Police say 56-year-old Gary Alvis passed a note to a pharmacist at the counter at Walgreens on West State Street, stating he had a gun and demanding medication. Sgt. Jason McCready says Alvis was identified "because he had been a customer earlier in the day and due to the transaction he made that was able to lead us to a possible name.” McCready said Alvis appeared highly intoxicated and was taken to Bristol’s hospital. Robbery charges are pending.
