Driver Injured After Texting and Driving
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a Unicoi County crash. Investigators tell us a 23-year old man was driving along State Route 81 and was texting at the same time. Officials say when he looked away from the road, his car went off the road, over an embankment and hit several trees. We know the driver was flown to the hospital, but at this time, there is no word on his identity or condition.
