Jury Deliberating Fate of Johnson City Man on Trial for Murder
The jury is to resume deliberations in the murder trial of Justin Stratton of Johnson City. He took the witness stand in his own defense, telling the jury as he did police, ďIím no killer.Ē Three co-defendants testified he shot Gary Couch eight times on a back road after they had met Couch at Numanís bar and Couch flashed a roll of money. Stratton said one of them, Anthony Phillips, told him he did it. (LM)
