Wise County Assault
He was fighting with family outside of their home, then ran from police and barricaded himself inside a home. Officers say they arrived at a home on Stonega Road in Appalachia where 26-year-old Jared Daniel Mabe was in a physical altercation with his father and brother. When police arrived he fled to the house and tried to lock himself inside. One policeman suffered injuries when a dog belonging to Mabe bit an officer. The animal has now been taken for a ten-day hold by animal control. Mabe had to be tasered by police. He faces charges of assault, public intoxication, and obstruction of justice.(CC)
