Accused Infant Abuser Due in Court Today
He was due in court last week, but his case was delayed because he was in jail in Haysi on another charge. So today, Jeremy Scott Owens is due in Scott County Court again. The Duffield, VA man is accused of severely beating his infant son back in January. Doctors called the police after the 11-week old child was brought to the hospital with a broken leg and multiple broken ribs. The hearing will deal with felony abuse and neglect charges as well as malicious wounding.
