Attempted Capital Murder Case Moves Forward
Facing serious charges related to attempted capital murder of a police officer in Bristol Virginia, 22-year-old Cody Vinson remains in custody and makes a brief court appearance. His attorney pushes to move back his preliminary hearing until September 4th, giving time for a psychological evaluation of Vinson, as his attorney begins mounting a defense. Vinson and a 17 year old juvenile are charged after a police pursuit in which a half dozen gunshots were fired at police. It ended near King College with police also firing a shot at one of the suspects.(LM)
