Coal Defrauder Sentenced to Prison
The operator of a Norton Coal Company that defrauded Eastman Chemical Company as part of a $5 million dollar contact will serve time in prison, pay restitution and was fined $10,000. 53-year old Dale Edward Stanley was ordered by a federal judge to serve a year in prison. Authorities say he hid lower quality coal under high quality in rail cars as part of the scheme.
