O'Quinn Opposes Housing Illegal Immigrant Children at Virginia Intermont campus in Bristol
Virginia Delegate Israel O’Quinn is among those coming out in opposition, after reports that the Department of Health may consider the Virginia Intermont College property in Bristol to house children who are illegal immigrants. O’Quinn issued a statement calling it inappropriate and said he is strongly discouraging it. He says he hasn’t been contacted concerning any plan, but wants it known it shouldn’t be considered without detailed planning and “thorough consultation” with the community. (LM)
