Two Kingsport Mets Players Arrested for Drag Racing
The Kingsport Mets take on the Pulaski Mariners tonight, but two players will not be on their roster. Outfielder Wuilmer Benavente and 30-year old Vincete Perez are in jail after getting caught drag racing on East Stone Drive. Kingsport officers say the men were going over 100 miles per hour and did not have a U.S. driverís license. They face misdemeanor drag racing charges. Team officials say they are looking into the incident, but do not have a comment at this time.
