Army Veteran Running Across America for Cause Stops in Area
Jim Shiew is an Army veteran still on a mission. He’s running across America to raise awareness and funding for a non profit that helps vets - the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This weekend, the 70 year old Colorado resident is staying at the Sugar Hollow campground in Bristol, before heading out on the last leg of his trip, 400 miles to Virginia’s coast. He said, “Every town I go into, I go in cold. I don’t know anybody and people treat me like a long lost brother.” (LM)
